What Is This Block Used For?
This 100mm 3.6N Hemelite Standard Block is commonly used for general walling, internal blockwork, partition walls, extensions, cavity wall inner leaves, walls above DPC and protected below-DPC work where a 3.6N block meets the building specification.
What Is It Not Recommended For?
This block is not usually recommended for decorative exposed facework, as it is a standard construction block designed to be finished with plaster, render, cladding or another suitable covering.
It should not be left permanently exposed on external walls without suitable protection, as external blockwork should be rendered or clad.
For loadbearing walls, below-ground external walls, outer-leaf cavity walls or any structural application, always check that the 3.6N strength is suitable for the project. Some applications may require a higher strength block, such as 7.3N or 10.4N.
