What Does Once Weathered Mean?

A once weathered coping has a sloping top surface that falls in one direction. This helps rainwater run away from the top of the wall instead of remaining on the masonry surface.

This makes once weathered coping a practical choice for exposed garden and boundary walls where effective water shedding is important.

Installation & Appearance

Install the coping stones on a suitable mortar bed and ensure the weathered slope is positioned so that water is directed towards the intended side of the wall.

As a precast concrete product, slight variations in colour, surface texture and appearance can occur between individual units and production batches. FP McCann confirms its wall copings are supplied in a standard concrete grey finish.
