Sika Block Paving Fix Buff Jointing Compound 15kg
Sika Block Paving Fix Buff 15kg is a moisture-curing jointing compound designed for block paving and narrow paving joints. It provides a durable, low-maintenance buff finish for driveways, patios, paths, walkways and indoor stone floors. Once cured, the compound sets hard, resists weeds and insects, and will not easily crack or wash out. It is suitable for joints between 2mm and 5mm wide, with an ideal joint width of approximately 3–4mm and a minimum depth of 25mm.

Joint Requirements
For the best performance, joints should be between 2mm and 5mm wide and at least 25mm deep. The compound should fill the complete depth of the joint. Do not partially fill the joints with sand before applying the product, as this may reduce durability and performance. Avoid tapered joints, as these may increase the risk of joint failure.
Preparation
Make sure the paving is dry and free from loose dirt, dust, oil, grease and debris. Stir or rake through the contents before use so that the material is loose and the active ingredients are evenly distributed. Remove and discard any hardened lumps rather than attempting to break them up or mix in additional sand.
A small test area should be completed before full application, particularly when using the product with light-coloured, porous or unfamiliar paving.
Application
Work in small, manageable sections. Sweep the dry compound thoroughly into the paving joints using a suitable brush, making sure each joint is completely filled.
Immediately remove excess compound from the paving surface before it begins to set. Any residue allowed to harden may be difficult to remove.
Once the joints are filled, thoroughly soak them using a hose set to a gentle spray or a watering can fitted with a rose. Do not use a pressure washer during application. Make sure the joints are fully saturated and rinse away any remaining material from the surface before curing begins.
Drying and Curing
The finished surface can be walked on immediately after activation, although it is better to leave it undisturbed while drying. Typical drying time is approximately 1–2 days, depending on temperature and weather conditions.
Full curing may take up to 28 days. Do not pressure wash the finished paving for at least 28 days, and keep the pressure-washer nozzle at least 10cm away from the joints.
Coverage
Coverage will vary depending on the paving block size, joint width, joint depth and laying pattern. Sika does not provide a fixed coverage figure for the 15kg tub on the current product page or product data sheet, so the required quantity should be calculated based on the dimensions of the joints in the specific installation.
Application Conditions
Do not apply when the temperature is expected to fall below +5°C during the drying period or when rain is imminent. If rain is expected before the product has hardened, protect the paved area to maintain a smooth finish.
The paving, bedding layer and joints must be well drained. This product is suitable for normal wet and dry weather cycles but should not be used where the joints will remain permanently immersed or exposed to standing water for extended periods.
Storage
Store the unopened tub in dry conditions between +5°C and +25°C. Protect it from direct sunlight, frost, punctures and damage, and keep it raised off the ground. When correctly stored in its original sealed packaging, the product has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
