Pavestone Slurry Primer 12.5kg

This slurry primer is formulated for use when laying porcelain and natural stone paving, which typically have low water absorption rates. It is applied to the underside of paving tiles or slabs to promote a strong bond with the bedding mortar beneath.

On building sites, this primer is commonly brushed onto the back of non-porous paving units just before they are installed. It helps reduce the risk of movement or lifting and minimises discolouration from mortar migration, making it suitable for patios, paths and similar external landscaping projects.

Application

This priming slurry is designed to be brushed onto the underside of low-porosity materials like porcelain and natural stone paving just before laying. It creates a strong, shrinkage-resistant bond with base mortars, outperforming traditional SBR and cement mixes. For natural stone, it significantly reduces the risk of unsightly 'picture frame' stains caused by cement bleed-through. Use it alongside Pavestone Wall & Cladding Adhesive to achieve the most secure fixing for slabs and tiles.
